How to use RSS Feeds

What is RSS?

RSS (which stands for “Really Simple Syndication”) is a useful tool. It allows content to come to you, without you having to visit each of your favourite websites just to see whether there is anything new there. Wherever you see the orange RSS logo you can subscribe to an RSS feed.

There are many different ways to view RSS content. This guide will outline two of the most popular, viewing RSS direct from within Internet Explorer version 7 and direct from within Firefox.

News Readers

RSS can also be viewed from News Readers. There are many News Readers available, and it is not possible to describe them here; a good starting point for research is the list which Google has compiled a list of suitable readers.
