Workshops and Tutorials

The first day of the 5th International Conference on e-Social Science will be devoted to a number of workshops and tutorials.  These will either be full day or half day sessions; details of which can be found on each sessions web page.

Imagining, Identifying and Investigating e-Research: An extended exploration (half day workshop)

Constructing and interrogating corpora using herterogeneous datasets (half day workshop)

Cross-nationally comparative social survey research (half day workshop)


Tutorials

Grid-enabling social simulations: an example using the RePAST Toolkit (full day tutorial)

Social Science in the clouds: introducing the Biocep platform for statistical computing (full day tutorial)

Coding the Blogosphere: Introducing the coding and blog analysis toolkits (half day tutorial)


Fee: to attend the day of workshops and tutorials, the cost is £150.  This is inclusive of all refreshments and lunch, as well as the drinks reception in the evening.
